Indestructible proofs of my love

A view of the screen (a lot of green numbers)
of the digital clock in my dark room,
reminded me of one winter.

Trembling were the big snowflakes
on the picture of black sky and tall streetlamps.
I was passing the deserted streets of her Zagreb,
clearing the fluffy snow with large, happy steps,
and with immeasurable strength of the newly dicovered love
and innocent youth
I was throwing snowballs into the Earth's orbit.

When she says how I never loved her,
Don't believe it!

Look carefully into the stary sky
and you will see a hundred of tiny satellites:

Indestructible proofs of my love.

This is a poem of mine that I've written, I'd say in winter of 1994.

With this snowy video and the optimism of a twenty-year-old, I wish you happy New Year 2012!

It is interesting how we physicists mix "orbit" and "satellite" with love. This professional deviation is not only mine. A greeting I got from my colleague proves it. He wishes me all the best in my new voyage around our star! Well, thanks !
