Cat Tiger and goose Nera (7th of June 2011)

Cat Tiger and goose Nera. Text: Gordana and Antonio Šiber. Illustration: Antonio Šiber.

Cat Tiger was rambling along the village road, looking for yellow flowers

that he loved to roll in, and sometimes he would also eat a flower or two.

He saw fat goose Nera inspecting her reflection in a pool.

How beautiful I am! How beautiful I am! Ga, ga, ga!

I am goose Nera, with shiny black feather
Most beautiful in sight, I hate all geese white!

Tiger said quietly:
Again that fat show off. I better go around her.

So he turned from the road, but Nera spotted him.

Pih... Looking for flowers again? What sort of a cat are you?

Cats do not eat flowers. You are not a real cat then!

Tiger lazily turned, seized one yellow flower

and told her while slurping:

But, you must be a real goose!
