Cartoons hipnotize today's kids. They can sit over hours and hours in front of TV watching constantly new content that is produced in enormous quantities these days. A lot of it is a quality stuff from the technical side, the animators really invest a lot of effort in all that, and concerning the educational side... It is difficult for me to say something about that, but it seems sometimes to me that my nephew gets a little out of it all. Anyhow, I often make things for him. Last time we made platonic polyhedra out of paper and we managed to make them all but the dodecahedron. And today I had to think about something else. And when lego bricks are somewhere near, that's not too difficult. So I made a dinosaur. The whole time I was playing with bricks I had in mind one of my images that I never finished - I somehow stopped the half way through and left it. The image below shows the last state of that study. One can probably discern that it is a model of brachiosaurus.

Brachiosaurus, dinosaurus, pterodactyl, tree,

My nephew quickly got involved, so he made a model of small brachiosaurus next to "his mum", so we got another neat scene. Of course, the sky in the background was specially made from blue and white paper. The scene was lit with a flashlight ("the Sun").

Continuing in the given direction we made two lions resting.

lion, trees, clouds

It is a kind of a "lego-illustration" technique.
